Answers before you choose
A practical starting point for selecting packaging equipment and preparing your project requirements.
Choosing a machine
What information do you need to recommend a machine?
Tell us what you pack, the target weight or volume per pack, the packaging style and dimensions, and the output you need. Product photos, a sample pack and your available working space are useful too. Include your country and available power supply so these can be checked against the proposed configuration.
What is the difference between vertical and premade pouch packaging?
A vertical form-fill-seal machine makes bags from a roll of film, then fills, seals and cuts them. A premade pouch machine starts with individual ready-made pouches and handles pouch feeding, opening, filling and sealing. Selection depends on your material, desired package and production requirements.
Which dosing system suits my product?
Volumetric cups are an option for uniform, free-flowing granules. Linear or multihead weighing systems are used for suitable granular products. Auger fillers are used for powders, while piston filling systems are used for compatible liquids and pastes. Product behaviour and any sample evaluation determine the final choice.
Can one machine pack different products or bag sizes?
That depends on the machine, dosing system, material and required bag format. A change of product or size may need settings changes, tooling or another configuration. Send the full range of products and pack dimensions you want to run so compatibility can be reviewed.
Are all of the packaging lines fully automatic?
Automation depends on the configuration. For example, the bowl conveyor arrangements in our range involve operators placing product into bowls, followed by conveying and automatic bag making, filling and sealing. Feeding and downstream handling should be discussed separately when defining an automated line.
Preparing your project
Can my product and packaging material be evaluated?
Ask about the suitability and arrangements for a sample or packaging trial. Agree on the material, packaging samples, required observations and any costs before sending samples. A trial can help clarify feeding, dosing and sealing requirements.
How are speed, accuracy and filling range confirmed?
These depend on the selected equipment and the actual material, portion size and packaging. Confirm the required operating conditions and the proposed specifications in your quotation. The website descriptions alone do not define a guaranteed output for your particular product.
What power and installation details should I provide?
Provide the installation country, voltage, phase, frequency and any available compressed-air details, along with the floor plan and height restrictions. Electrical and utility requirements must be checked for the specific quoted configuration.
What should I check in the equipment quotation?
Check the machine and dosing configuration, feeder and discharge equipment, packaging range, agreed operating conditions, utilities, dimensions, included accessories and documentation. Also agree on delivery, payment, commissioning, training and after-sales terms before ordering.
Operation and support
How do I ask about installation or operator training?
Include your location, equipment configuration and preferred support format in your enquiry. Confirm the availability, scope, language, scheduling and any costs for installation, commissioning or training as part of the quotation.
What information helps with a spare-part or technical enquiry?
Provide the machine identification and configuration, a clear description of the part or symptom, and photographs. For an operating issue, include the material, relevant settings and a short video where practical. Do not continue running equipment if a fault presents a safety concern.
Where can I confirm lead time and warranty terms?
Request the current delivery schedule and warranty terms for the proposed equipment. These are confirmed in the commercial quotation and order agreement, together with the service scope and any exclusions.
